MANILA, Philippines – A ship filled with relief goods and health professionals are expected to arrive in Zamboanga City Thursday, said Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

According to the report, Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Commander Armand Balilo said BRP 003 carried 650 sacks of relief packs that included rice, water and canned goods for 6,500 families affected by the 10-day conflict between the Moro National Liberation Front and government forces.

Balilo said nurses, doctors, health workers and social welfare representatives were on board the BRP 003, which recently came from Cebu for the search and rescue operations for the victims of the sunken MV St. Thomas Aquinas.
