Truck driver killed in Oslob road accident

A MINI dump truck carrying construction materials fell into a cliff in barangay Hagdan, Oslob town, southern Cebu.

Joel Vilado, the driver of the truck, was killed in the accident which took place around 11 a.m. yesterday.

Truck helpers Gerold Muñoz and Hope Vilado survived the accident after they were able to jump out of the truck before it fell into a 50-meter deep cliff.

Muñoz and Vilado, cousins of the fatality, said Vilado was wearing a seat belt that may have prevented him from jumping out of the truck.
