Six ‘rowdy’ Papuans nabbed

SIX Papua New Guinea nationals were arrested for making trouble while having a drinking spree in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City Sunday evening.

Complaints for drunkenness were filed against Geoffrey Maraveka, 20; David Kila, 20; Noor Kusunan, 22; Fischer Buter, 22; Bradley Posu, 19; and Immanuel Sap, 21.

Maraveka is also facing another complaint for resisting arrest.

Police investigation revealed that one Noel Canillo, 33, confronted Maraveka for making noise while drinking with his friends at the rented place of the suspects.

Maraveka allegedly threatened Canillo which prompted the latter to call for police assistance.

When the police arrived, they reprimanded the suspect but Maraveka allegedly called PO2 Gil Tomada “stupid policeman” and that he will kick the police officer.

Tomada handcuffed Maraveka but he resisted arrest.

He was pinned down by the policeman and was brought to the Mandaue City Hospital with the five others for liquor test.

They all tested positive for alcohol use.
