Austrian poacher found dead after killing 4—police

VIENNA—Austrian poacher Alois Huber, who killed three policemen and a paramedic, died after setting himself on fire while holed out at his home, police said early Wednesday.

Commandos from Austria’s elite “Cobra” police force launched a raid to root out the 55-year-old gunman just before nightfall Tuesday in an operation that lasted five hours and ended with the discovery of his burnt body at his home 90 kilometers (55 miles) west of Vienna.
