MANILA, Philippines—People have started to gather at the EDSA Shrine in Quezon City where an interfaith prayer rally is set to be held within an hour.

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, police estimated the crowd to be around 200.

Ian Pedarse, co-organizer of “EDSA Tayo”, said they were expecting over 5000 participants based on the number of confirmation they got from their Facebook event invitation.

He, however, said that the figure could be more, or less during the actual event.

“It doesn’t matter if there are only 15 of us, we would really push through with it so that our prayers to scrap the pork barrel would be answered,” he said in Filipino

After the mass, a lecture on the pork barrel issue would be led by Professor Winnie Monsod.
