CIDG-NCR chief Senior Superintendent Roberto Fajardo said that the mug shot of Napoles was already taken but the Makati RTC authorities declined to show the photographs to media.
“At about 11:30 a.m., the CIDG returned the warrant of arrest of Janet Lim Napoles who was received by Judge Elmo Alameda of [Regional Trial Court] Branch 150 Makati City,” PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac said in a text message to reporters.
“We will wait for the further disposition of the court on Janet Napoles case. FYI,” he added.
Meanwhile, Fajardo said Napoles looked well and “in high spirit” when she was brought under the custody of policemen in Camp Crame. The CIDG chief, however, declined to disclose in which cell in Camp Crame Napoles was taken for detention.
Napoles, who has been accused of conniving with government officials in channeling PDAF to ghost projects through fake NGOs, did not show at the court up as well as her lawyer Lorna Kapunan.
Fajardo said the commitment order would be released by the Judge Elmo Alameda of the Makati RTC branch 150 within the day.
