CIDG on its way to Makati court to return Napoles arrest order
MANILA, Philippines — A team from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police is on its way to Makati regional trial court Thursday to return the warrant of arrest of Janet Lim-Napoles, the center of the controversy over the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or “pork barrel”.
“CIDG Team already enroute to Makati RTC for the return of the warrant of arrest of JLN. Hindi sya kasama [She’s not with them],” Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP spokesperson, said in a text message to reporters at about 11a.m.
Napoles surrendered to President Benigno Aquino III late Wednesday and was believed to be detained at the National Headquarters at Camp Crame.
