MANILA, Philippines —Tropical storm ‘Maring’ (international name Trami) may have made its exit from the Philippine area of responsibility, but the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera were warned of moderate to heavy rains as the storm moved towards Taiwan.

The storm will enhance the southwest monsoon in northern Luzon while blowing away from the country and will dump rains in the 2 regions, Vic Malano of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in a briefing at Camp Aguinaldo on Wednesday.

Rains will still be experienced within the 500 kilometer of the storm, Pagasa’s weather bulletin said midday. The storm was last plotted 500 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
