Pantabangan Dam far from spilling level, not releasing water—report

MANILA, Philippines—Nueva Ecija Governor Aurelio Umali clarified Tuesday that Pantabangan Dam would not open its gates to release water, state television PTV reported.

“The dam is far from its spilling level and in fact we need more water in Pantabangan Dam,” PTV quoted Umali as saying.
