Farmer gunned down

A FARMER was shot dead in an abandoned house in barangay Toong, Cebu City at dawn Friday.

Charlie Tabas Gabutay, 29, was found with a puncture wound and gunshot wounds in the legs.

Police said that according to the victim’s mother, the farmer had been accused of theft.

Several bursts of gunfire were heard coming from the house.

Tita Abastas, 57, a widow living nearby, went out to find the origin of the noise and found the bloodied farmer.
