ELECTRONIC BOARDS FOR MANDAUE CITY

THE Mandaue City government plans to put up five electronic boards in its major intersections to advise the riding public on traffic route schemes.

The electronic boards pegged at P6 million each will be installed in skywalks in barangay Jagobiao, Subangdaku, United Nations Avenue, barangay Looc and barangay Centro.

Mandaue City Administrator James Abadia said there was a private company that offered free electronic boards on the condition that they will place advertisements on its sides.

But Mayor Jonas Cortes reportedly didn’t like the idea.

Cortes also said the ceremonial lighting of the recently installed traffic lights will be done before August ends.
