The prosecution in the kidnap-slay of Ellah Joy Pique presented its 11th witness yesterday.
Senior Insp. Oliver Lariosa of the Regional Crime Laboratory took the witness stand to identify items they had confiscated from the residence of the suspects Bella Ruby Santos and Ian Charles Griffiths, a British national.
Among those presented were covers of pornographic video materials.
The prosecution had earlier indicated before the court that they would be presenting witnesses and evidence to establish the cyber pornography as a possible motive of the kidnap-slaying of Ellah Joy Pique.
Prosecutor Jerome Abarca who presented Lariosa yesterday however did not say whether the evidence they were presenting was meant to establish the motive of the crime.
Lead defense lawyer Rameses Villagonzalo, opposed the admission of the pornographic video covers along with Santos’ pajero, Nintendo DS game cartridge, rug, sex toys, and assorted ID’s and passport as these were ordered released to the accused by RTC Judge Meinrado Paredes.
Last April 16, 2013, Santos stepped out of jail after 18 months imprisonment after the court allowed her to post P500,000 bail.
Griffiths left the country before a warrant for his arrest was issued by the court.
