Funds pour in for feeding of day care pupils
SOCIAL Welfare Regional Director Mercedita Jabagat recently turned over P297,600 funds for the implementation of the third cycle of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) in the town of San Isidro, Bohol.
A total of 248 children three- to five-years old enrolled in all 12 day care centers in the town are expected to benefit from the program this year.
The feeding program was launched in 2011 to serve hot meals to children during snack/meal time during school days for 120 days.
Parents will prepare the meals using available ingredients.
San Isidro was the first local government unit in the Central Visayas to implement the first cycle of SFP in the whole region.
On the same occasion, Sen. Manny Villar also released P250,000 funds from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) for San Isidro.
