STORE MANAGER DIES IN BIKE CRASH

A MANAGER of a fast food chain was killed in a motorcycle crash in at the South Road Properties in Cebu City.

Celestino Adolfo Jr., who lived in Lapu-Lapu City, was on his way to a company outing in Talisay City when he met the accident yesterday morning.

PO2 Wilfredo Caperida, traffic investigator, said that according to witnesses, Adolfo, 27, was racing with other motorcycle riders before the crash.

The victim’s father, Adolfo Sr., insisted that his son’s motorcycle was hit by a trailer truck causing the fatal crash.

But the truck driver, Rusty Gentapa, said he did not see the victim. He said he heard a sudden impact at the back of the trailer before he was stopped by motorist informing that a motorcycle had rammed the truck.

Caperida said based on the skid marks on the road, the motorcycle was running at high speed when Adolfo Jr. lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle was found near the truck but it was not clear if the victim was ran over by the truck, Caperida said.

Police said the victim’s crash helmet was damaged.

CALL CENTER AGENT KILLED IN ROBBERY

A CALL center agent was killed when he resisted robbers in barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.

Police said one of the robbers was a woman.

Jovanni Libunao De Jesus succumbed to a gunshot wound in the chest.

Police said De Jesus was walking with female companions on F. Cabahug Street past 5 a.m. yesterday when a woman grabbed the victim’s bag.

According to a security guard of a nearby establishment, the victim refused to let go of the bag.

A man on a motorcycle arrived and shot the victim.

The woman boarded the motorcycle driven by the gunman and fled empty handed, said SPO1 Victor Ruel Ayuman, homicide investigator of the Cebu City police.

Police said the victim’s bag contained a cellphone, P1,150 cash and personal belongings./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON

ARAB FOUND DEAD

A 55-YEAR-OLD Arab man was found dead in the comfort room of his house in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City Wednesday night.

Police said there were no signs of foul play in the death of Alhemli Abdullah Saleh.

The victim had been suffering from diabetes, police said.
