CEBU CITY—A Frenchman was taken into custody after he was caught bringing in two girls, one of them a minor, to his hotel room on Saturday afternoon.

Alex Lefur, 43, was brought in for questioning at the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) of the Cebu Provincial Police Office in Barangay Sudlon.

When asked for a statement, Lefur merely said: “Nothing, nothing.”

The arrest stemmed from the request of the Children Legal Bureau (CLB) for the ACG to conduct surveillance on Lefur after receiving reports that he had been bringing in minors to his hotel room.

He had been staying in an uptown hotel for four days and had brought in 10 girls to his room, according to reports received by the police.

On Saturday, the ACG received confirmation that Lefur was with two girls inside his room, said Senior Inspector Michael Vertudazo, ACG chief for Central Visayas.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development took custody of the two girls while Lefur was brought to the police station.
