AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman was killed after she was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in barangay Poblacion, Toledo City. Cebu.
Police said Aguida Villejo flagged down a pedicab and was about to cross when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Glen Villegas Jr., 23.
Police said Villegas lost control of the motorcycle which rammed the pedicab before hitting the old woman.
The woman lost consciousness when she fell to the ground.
The victim was brought to the Toledo City Hospital where she was declared dead by the attending doctor.
Villegas surrendered to the police after the incident. He was detained at the city’s police station while waiting for charges to be filed against him./CORRESPONDENT CHRISTINE EMILY L. PANTALEON
