Body of man without head, feet found along SLEx

MANILA, Philippines—Authorities were looking into the death of a man whose body was found without head and feet along the South Luzon Expressway in Laguna early Thursday, police said.

Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, Calabarzon regional director, said the body of a male person was allegedly found along the northbound lane of the expressway in the village of Pulo in Cabuyao, Laguna around 6 a.m.

SLEX maintenance employee Nilo Piong alerted authorities about a suspicious black garbage bag in the area, where the body of the man was eventually found inside, he said.

“[The body] was without head and feet,” Estipona said, adding that the still unidentified victim was only wearing underwear.

Investigation was ongoing, Estipona said.
