Mayor Cortes tennis winners bared

THE TANDEM of Titing Solon and Popoy Lumpayao defeated June Ledesma and Edgar Heras, 8-4, in last weekend’s Class A finals of the 6th Mayor Jonas Cortes Tennis Cup held at the Mandaue City Tennis courts.

Joining Solon and Lumpayao at the podium were Berm Noval and Christian Elorde, who dominated class B by routing Jimboy Mata and Ramon Bontia, 8-2, in the finals.

Meanwhile, Allan Varga and Jojo Alazas trounced Aga Manatad and Jefren Signe,8-2, to lord the class C competition.

In the senior citizen division, Rudy Semblante and Ely Arcio outmatched Nato Macaluluoy and Pableo Ardenes’ tandem, 8-2, to capture the title.
