Boy with bleeding disorder seeks aid

John Andrey Rull

John Andrey Rull has been confined at Philippine General Hospital for more than a month now due to hemangioma.

“The disease makes him bleed profusely from the gums. His condition is so delicate he needs strict monitoring from doctors,” John’s father, Henry Rull, told the Inquirer.

He said his 12-year-old son who is an incoming second year high school student from San Pedro, Laguna, needs embolization to regulate the flow of blood inside the main artery of his neck to prevent his gums from bleeding. This can be done by taking Propanolol, a beta blocker.

Once the bleeding is under control, John Andrey can be scheduled for another operation to remove a tumor on the chin. He was first operated in 2007.

The cost of the medicine is expected to reach P23,000 on top of P40,000 for the operation. Henry is asking for help as he is a taxi driver while his wife, Juvy, is a dressmaker.

Henry Rull can be reached at 0947-7868535. Deposits can be made to his BPI account (account # 008489102995).
