Did you know: Malabon Foundation Day

/ 02:03 AM May 21, 2013

Malabon is celebrating its 414th Foundation Day today, Tuesday. Once known as “Tambobong” because of the numerous tambo trees growing in the area, it came under the administration of Augustinian friars in 1599. On April 21, 2001, Malabon was converted into a highly urbanized city after Republic Act No. 9019 was ratified.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
