The visiting clubs from Bhutan, Pakistan and Kyrzystan praised the successful organization of the Group B qualifier of the 2013 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President’s Cup by the Cebu Football Association (CFA) at the Cebu City Sports Commission last week.
They were also thankful for the warmth welcome and hospitality they experienced in their short stay here in Cebu. The games were held here last May 8, 10 and 12.
Dordoi Bishkek of Kyrzystan and Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) of Pakistan advanced to the final stage to be held in September after finishing at the top 2 spots in Group B.
Yeedzin team manager Kota said this is the team’s fourth appearance in the tournament and in those previous outings, they managed to post wins.
Asked if the team would still be willing to come back after losing so badly here, Kota said they definitely will with a better team this time. “People are so friendly, good players are nice and you have a very nice beach. If given a chance, we will definitely come back,” Kota said.
KRL head coach Tariq Lutfi, for his part, thanked the CFA for having organized the tournament well, saying that everything went smoothly. “Cebu is very friendly. I am very grateful.” /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
