Ex-Speaker De Venecia backs Braganza
DAGUPAN CITY—Despite throwing his support behind Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino Jr. in the 2007 and 2010 elections, former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., this time, has declared his support for the gubernatorial bid of Espino’s rival, Liberal Party (LP) candidate Hernani Braganza.
“Governor Espino is a dear friend. But he has done nothing to bring projects to the villages,” said De Venecia in a statement released by the LP in Pangasinan on Thursday.
He said Espino had promised to bring projects to the barangays, but these were not fulfilled.
“What more can he promise now?” said De Venecia.
