Indian national robbed, killed in Talisay
An Indian national was shot dead when he resisted a robbery in barangay Lower Mohon, Talisay City, southern Cebu, last Wednesday afternoon.
Raja Singh, 37, who lived in barangay Dumlog, was shot in the head. The victim had a lending business.
Singh’s alleged perpetrators—Rutchel Alcover, 29, and Jeriel Sembrano, 18—were arrested in a follow-up operation.
SPO3 Daniel Tarucan, investigator of the Talisay City police precinct, said the victim was in the area to collect payments.
He was walking along a road when two men held him up at gunpoint. The victim resisted, causing the robbers to shoot him.
Alcover and Sembrano were arrested in their respective houses.
