Cortes net offers big prizes

BIG cash prizes await the different category champions of the upcoming Mayor Jonas Cortes Tennis Cup to be held at the Mandaue Tennis Courts from May 19-25.

Four divisions are featured in the six-day meet: A, B, C and Senior citizens. Each of the divisions will start in the round-of-32. Division  champions will get P8,000 while losing finalists will receive P4,000. Semifinalists will pocket P1,000 each.

The tournament is organized by Mandaue Sports Commissioner Engr. Gaga Mendoza and Stephen Jumao-as and will be handled by tournament directors Dario Besavilla and Joel Cortes. Hot tennis action starts at 9 a.m.  /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
