Villar says she’s ‘humbled, overwhelmed’ by latest SWS survey
MANILA, Philippines—Team PNoy senatorial bet Cynthia Villar said she was “humbled” and “overwhelmed” by the support she has been getting as shown by the latest Social Weather Station (SWS) survey, which put her between third to fourth spot.
“I am both humbled and overwhelmed by the continued support of Filipinos to my senatorial candidacy. The number three position in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey is the highest ranking I have reached since I publicly announced my intention to run for a Senate seat and filed my candidacy,” Villar said in a statement on Tuesday.
“To have reached such a high spot in the poll survey during the last stretch of the campaign period is really a source of tremendous inspiration for me,” she said.
Villar said her latest ranking in the survey would further strengthened her “determination and resolve to help more Filipinos attain a better life through my various advocacies and platforms, especially in providing people with sources of livelihood and jobs.”
While she has already established livelihood opportunities in around 179 places all over the country, Villar said her goal was to put up a livelihood center in each of the 1,600 towns and cities in the Philippines.

Villar shared the third to fourth spots with United Nationalist Alliance senatorial bet Nancy Binay, daughter of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
