Not even the debut of the University of San Carlos’ (USC)  own import Ahmed Salihou could stopped the Prime Asia-University of the Visayas Green Lancers from notching their third win in a row after they beat the Cebu Landmasters-backed Warriors, 91-59, in the 2013 Enervon-Cesafi Partner’s Cup yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.

Salihou showed his leaping ability and tenacity and finished with 15 points. But it was all for naught in the face of the Lancers’ multi-faceted attack.

Chris Perolino led an early onslaught with 18 points in the first canto that pushed UV to a 26-10 lead.

Then, Cesafi’s Rookie of the Year-MVP Wowie Escosio tallied 12 more in the second period to give Prime Asia a 47-29 halftime lead.

The Lancers coasted to the win with Escosio finishing with 17 and Franz Arong adding 14.

Cebu Landmasters now tote a 1-2 (win-loss) record.

In the first game, the San Marino Corned Tuna-University of Southern Philippines Foundation evened its record out at 1-1 after beating the Raphael’s Sports Cafe-University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars, 80-66.
