All set for Summer King chess
THE Rapid Summer King Open Chess Tournament will kick off this weekend at the Deep Blue Chess Club at the SM City Cebu.
Around 100 participants are expected to showcase their best wood pushing techniques in this event.
Organized by the Deep Blue Chess club, the tournament will be using a Swiss system format with 25 minutes to play. FIDE rules will be implemented.
Registration fee is pegged at P200 for 14-years-old and above and P100 for 13-years-old and below. The deadline of registration is today at the venue.
Champions will take home P5,000 while the runners-up will win P3,000. Third placers will get 2,000.
