Birthday Bash and Smash badminton set
THE country’s top shuttle smashers converge at the Racquetzone Badminton Courts in Montebello Hotel and Villas this Saturday for the cash-rich ‘Birthday Bash and Smash: The Gloria Santos Invitational Badminton Tournament.’
Some P100,000 in cash and exciting raffle items are up for grabs in the one-day event which has attracted top players from Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan City and Ormoc City.
Tournament organizer Lyric V. Roma revealed that the event features men’s ABC, D, E and F levels as well as men’s Executive levels D and F. The women’s division will have CD, E and F levels. Action starts at 8 a.m.
Aside from the prizes allotted for the different category winners, exciting prizes such as Li Ning badminton shoes, Yonex rackets and bags will also be raffled off.
Roma revealed that so far, some 200 players have already enlisted for the tournament. /RCG
