PFF Suzuki Under 23 tournament postponed
THE VISAYAS regional qualifying round of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Suzuki Under 23 was postponed.
The tournament was supposed to be held in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental from April 15 to 21.
Cyril Dofitas, head of the PFF competition department, said he has been waiting for an advice from Suzuki, the backer of the event. But Suzuki hasn’t called him yet, which is the reason why he decided to postpone the tournament.
The Cebu-University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) was supposed to see action in the tournament against Iloilo and Bacolod in a double round robin format with the top two teams advancing to the national finals slated this May in Dumaguete. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
