Bam Aquino pushing for small business
MEYCAUAYAN CITY, Philippines—Micro-entrepreneurship may be a polysyllabic concept but administration senatorial candidate Bam Aquino swears it’s a gut issue that the poor can well appreciate.
“Entrepreneurship is a long word. All it means is business,” Aquino told reporters as Team PNoy candidates and representatives of absent candidates campaigned through Bulacan on Wednesday.
Aquino, who’s running on a platform of increased income and opportunities for the poor, placed sixth among senatorial candidates in Pulse Asia’s latest survey.
He indicated that his platform of providing means to put up small businesses has connected with the poor.
“Work hard and stay on message… Many ask why I am up in the surveys. It’s because the message is clear: the reforms that have been implemented need to be strengthened,” he said. “It’s really that simple.”
