Police seize explosives intended for illegal fishing

POLICE seized four bottles containing explosives believed to be used for dynamite fishing in barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

The explosives were recovered after a chase between police and two fishermen.

Operatives of Task Force Kalikasan in Lapu-Lapu City were conducting sea patrol on Sunday morning when they chanced upon a motorized banca with two men aboard.

The fishermen sped off upon seeing the policemen.
