15th Aboitiz Football Cup semis on
Top teams look to advance to the final round when the semifinals of the 15th Aboitiz Football Cup starts today at the Aboitiz Sports Field and the Cebu City Sports Center.
The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) will go up against Mandaue Technical Institute (MTI) while Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) vies against Cebu International School (CIS) in the Final Four round of the Boys 17 category.
The distaff side will have bracket A leader University of San Carlos (USC) going up against the no.2 team in bracket B—San Roque Football Club (SRFC). The other finals ticket will be contested by bracket B leader St. Theresa’s College (STC) and SHS-AdC.
In the Boys 14 category, Springdale-A faces Subangdaku while Don Bosco-2 takes on the Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy.
Springdale-A and ANS Pomeroy have yet to lose in the tournament after winning all of their elimination matches while Don Bosco-2 and Subangdaku have lost once in the group stages.
The Boys 12 will have Giuseppe FC facing SHS-AdC for a chance at the title while the remaining finals ticket will be contested between Bright Academy and Don Bosco-1.
Bright Academy advanced into the semifinal round by winning all of its elimination matches in bracket A while Giuseppe accomplished the same in bracket B.
Players 10 semifinals will have Canduman versus Ateneo de Cebu-B and Don Bosco-1 against Giuseppe. Final Four games in the Players 8 will have Don Bosco teams going up against Bright Academy-A and Lahug-B.
