THE SAN AGUSTIN Church in Intramuros, Manila, originally known as “Inglesia de San Pablo,” is the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Built in 1589, it was the only structure in Intramuros to survive the bombing before the liberation of Manila in 1945. It was declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a World Heritage Site in 1993. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
