Gwen busy with campaign visits
ALMOST a month after she was locked out of her office, suspended Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia is keeping “busy” visiting towns all over Cebu province, her younger brother Rep. Pablo John Garcia of Cebu’s 3rd district said yesterday.
“She’s busy visiting barangays around the province,” he said in a text message.
In his Twitter account, Rep. Garcia posted a photo of a crowd with One Cebu officials in the province taken last Monday.
In his caption, Rep. Garcia said, “Spoke before 3,000 purok leaders in Carcar City with Gov. Gwen Garcia and Samsam Gullas. Padayon jud Carcar!”
Garcia was holed up in her office for more than a month in defiance of a suspension order from Malacañang. When she stepped out to visit Oslob town last month, the governor’s office was sealed on orders of Acting Gov. Agnes Magpale.
Garcia was in Oslob town, 117 kilometers south of Cebu, to inaugurate the briefing center of the Oslob Whale Watching program in barangay Tan-awan.
