Faulty electrical wiring and illegal connections are still the major causes of fires in Metro Manila. We encourage home and business establishment owners and even the government to have their properties properly checked only by professionals—Chief Superintendent Santiago Laguna, director for the National Capital Region of the Bureau of Fire Protection, noting the recent spate of fires hitting the metropolis.
