In 2012, the Philippine National Police conducted around 8,580 anti-illegal drug operations consisting of buy-bust operations, house raids or searches and marijuana plantation eradication, according to its latest annual accomplishment report.

According to the same report, these operations resulted in the arrest of more than 14,000 pushers and users. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
