New Millenium routs Argentina Corned Beef

NEW MILLENIUM Hardware ’95 leaned on a balanced attack to rout the Argentina Corned Beef ’84/87/90, 74-55, in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Saturday at the Cebu Coliseum.

All eight players who were fielded in managed to score and four reached twin digits led by Donadl Ting’s 18 points.

Dean Dy Teves had a solid double-double show of 17 points and 10 rebounds spiked with two steals. Raymond Gollon added 12 points and six rebounds, while Joseph James Yu banged in 11 markers on top of six rebounds and two assists for Class ’95, which zoomed off to a 34-21 lead and did not look back after that.

Frederick Chua paced Argentina Corned Beef with 14 points and six rebounds.

In the other game, Elvis Evangelista charted season-highs 31 points and 21 rebounds as 3R Audio ’98 blasted PTT 2005, 104-65.

The win was 3R’s second in a row after a 64-96 loss during opening day to Chester Cokaliong and the rest of Pilipinas Shell ‘80s.

Rex Millan finished with 27 points on top of four rebounds, three assists and two steals, while Erick Andrew So contributed 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Class ’98, which clobbered the hapless Class 2005 right after the opening tip. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
