Unruly American nabbed for going berserk in Lapu hotel
An American man is facing a string of charges for allegedly causing trouble and for hugging a hotel staffer in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.
Willie Charles Gros Jr., 44, was also accused of resisting arrest.
Police said Gros could be charged for disobedience to person with authority, acts of lasciviousness and drunkenness, a city ordinance violation.
The American was reportedly drunk during the incident which happened last Monday afternoon at the Imperial Waterpark Resort and Spa.
The American was apologetic after his arrest.
“Of course, I regret it. I feel sorry,” Gros told Cebu Daily News.

Article continues after this advertisementSenior Insp. Junnel Caadlawon, officer-in-charge of the Lapu-Lapu City Tourist police said, the hotel management called the police to report the unruly behavior of the American.
Police said the couple went to Cordova town to look for a place where they could build a house.
The couple later checked in at the hotel at around 2:30 p.m.
While at the hotel lobby, the American allegedly became rowdy and was accused of a hugging a female staffer.
The American’s behavior caused fear among the hotel guests, prompting the management to call the police.
Police asked the American to calm down but the man allegedly ignored them.
Police subdued the American, who was later detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.
Police said the American tested positive for alcohol use in a hospital.
