Soldiers donate blood to Red Cross Dumaguete

SIXTEEN military personnel from the 302nd Brigade and members of the Civilian Auxiliary Force Geographical Units donated a total of 7,200 cc of blood to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) in Dumaguete City.

Capt Anacito Naz, army’s information officer, said the bloodletting activity is in line with the celebration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ 77th anniversary on Dec. 21 with the theme, “Making a difference with a single drop of blood”.

The blood donors, led by their brigade commander Col. Francisco Patrimonio, belong to the Army’s 302nd Brigade that covers the Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces and the 5th district of Negros Occidental.

Another group of army personnel conducted a tree planting activity last Dec. 11 as part of the anniversary celebration. The Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices II in Dumaguete City provided the seedlings.
