Air Force shares gifts with DSWD Child Center

THE Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) received Christmas gifts from the Philippine Air Force.

Social worker Bibiana Horvath received the donations from 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing Commander, Brig. Gen. Rene Santos, in a ceremony held early this week at the RSCC in Cebu City.

“Indeed, there must be a time for everything and Christmas is a time for giving and sharing our blessings to others,” said Santos.

In-kind donations included powdered milk in cans, diapers, vitamins, toys and infant cereal rice.

Horvath handed over the donation to RSCC head Rosalina Tatoy.

“These donations will surely be a big help to our babies who are in dire need of assistance not only this holiday season,” Horvath said.

She expressed appreciation and encouraged the PAF men and women to adopt an orphaned child or be a foster parent.

“Rest assured that while you are incessantly doing your shares in caring and providing the needs of these children, we in the other hand would continue our commitment in giving our support to your center,” Santos said.

RSCC is the region’s child-caring institution that provides 24-hour services to abandoned children 0-6 years old.
