The wife of a barangay chair in Manila was killed after being run over by a delivery truck in the Sampaloc district Wednesday morning.

Superintendent Reynaldo Nava, head of the Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit, identified the victim as Tomasa Pampiloza, 76, wife of Alexander “Bomber” Pamiloza who was a former promoter of world boxing champion and now Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

Nava said the victim was watering her plants in front of their house on P. Paredes Street around 7:30 a.m. when an Elf truck hit her after suddenly making a turn at the street corner.

Pamiloza was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. The police arrested the driver Michael Melloria, 19, and his companion Deo Obrado, 37.  Erika Sauler
