Talisay defeats San Fernando

TALISAY CITY remained on top in the ongoing Gullas Cup 2012 First District Basketball Tournament after they beat San Fernando, 89-71, last Saturday in Naga City.

Talisay improved to 8-1 (win-loss) and was powered by Joshua Rommelle dela Cerna and Christopher Obeso’s 16 and 15 points, repsectively.

San Fernando suffered its  fifth loss in nine games.

San Fernando was led by Glenn Barde and Bryan Obaob, who scored 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Carcar, meanwhile, trounced Naga, 70-57, courtesy of Fritz Macasero and Sergio Gabinete Jr’s 18 and 14 markers, respectively.

Carcar also has four wins and five losses,

Naga dropped its eight game and only has a single win, a 94-91 victory over Sibonga last Friday ./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
