Bautista wins in Heybro Cup
INSPECTOR Sheryl Bautista of the Women’s and Children’s Protection desk topped the ladies division of last Sunday’s 3rd Heybro Cup Shooting Tournament at the Tawason NS Firing Range in Mandaue City.
Joining Bautista in the winners list are Benson Yu, who dominated the standard division, and Roger Uy, who ruled the seniors division.
Young marksman Rob Lauriete also topped the juniors division while Jose Pante captured the top spot in the Law man division. Mark Castillo won in the Lawman rifle division. In the classic division, Ed Santos topped the competition while Dennis Maravillas ruled the production division.
The shooting tournament was organized by the Honorable Order of the Hawk-Eye Brothers, an organization composed of law enforcers, military personnel and businessmen. It aimed to promote social awareness among the shooting community in Cebu. It was also a fund-raising project for the said organization.
Around a hundred marksmen coming from different sectors of the community took part in the competition. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
