MAN CAUGHT IN POT SESSION

A 20-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he was allegedly caught having a pot session with his friends in his house in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City.

Police are verifying reports that the house of Kim Sembrano in Holy Family Village was used as a drug den.

Senior Insp. Wilson Abot, chief of Basak police station, said a concerned citizen tipped them off that there were persons sniffing drugs in Sembrano’s house.

Police said they caught Sembrano and three other men using shabu in their house.

While police cornered Sembrano, the three men managed to escape.

A sachet containing white crystalline substance was recovered from Sembrano’s possession, said police.

ARMED MAN NABBED

A 22-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for carrying a firearm in barangay Buagsong, Cordova town in Mactan Island, Cebu.

Seized from Arbie Obregon was a .22 revolver with four bullets.

Two members of the Cordova police rushed to sitio Cansubing after receiving a report that a man was seen brandishing a gun while standing along a road last Tuesday night.

Police frisked the man and found the gun in his possession.

Police said Obregon failed to show documents to prove that the gun was licensed.

It was later learned that the man was previously involved in a theft case based on police records.
