Some 1,000 protesters marching on Commonwealth Avenue

MANILA, Philippines – Protesters along Commonwealth Avenue have reached an estimated 1,000 persons, a Philippine National Police spokesman said on Monday.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the rallyists were now approaching Ever Gotesco.

Citing a report, Cruz said that protesters in Mendiola, led by Kilusan Para sa Pambansang Demokrasya, also reached an estimated 1,000 persons while 200 members of Anakpawis, led by Joel Servantes, gathered in Marikina.
