MCWD to orient Apas water applicants today
THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) will be conducting a free orientation seminar for new water service applicants in sitio Plaza, barangay Apas, Cebu City today at 1 p.m. at the barangay hall.
The MCWD and Abejo Waters Corp. (AWC) had just completed the water system project in the area. A ceremonial opening of the water system was done last Oct. 14 by Apas and MCWD officials.
MCWD Production and Distribution Department manager Astrophel Logarta explained said around 1,000 households can now avail of affordable and potable water.
Logarta revealed that the area was not served by MCWD due to the lack of water supply and absence of distribution lines.
With the joint venture agreement entered into by MCWD and AWC, there is now enough volume of water.
The seminar is to make the application process easier for the residents of Apas.
