Did you know: NCR mortality rate

Among the country’s regions, the National Capital Region posted the lowest infant mortality rate, or the probability of a child dying before reaching the age of one, with 14 deaths per 1,000 live births, according to the 2011 Family Health Survey. The same study also showed that an estimated 20 children for every 1,000 live births in the NCR will likely die before reaching age five.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
