Tip leads police to computer shop robber

/ 10:18 PM September 20, 2012

A man who had robbed a computer rental shop was arrested after someone recognized him from the footage taken by the establishment’s closed circuit television camera and tipped off his whereabouts to the  police.

Chief Inspector Rodelio Marcelo, head of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, said Ronald Dionido, 37, was arrested on Aguho Street in Project 3, Quezon City.

Initially, he was arrested for drinking in a public place and carrying a bladed weapon.

A check, however, showed that he is facing two arrest warrants for theft cases filed in Quezon City courts. Julie M. Aurelio
