Three teams share lead in IBP caging

THE Super Idols drubbed winless Jodin, 69-51, Pecandela Law Firm-Primary Homes tripped Paneros, 56-50, while rookie team Dissenters crushed winless Primos, 67-55, last Saturday to share the lead in the 9th IBP-2012 basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym.

Idols led from start to finish with Fermin Pepito and Eugene Sumampong scoring 13 points apiece while John Ungab and Estong Narido paced Jodin with 13 and 10 markers, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pecandela-Primary Homes trailed in the first three periods but outscored Paneros in the fourth, 19-10 for the 56-50 win.

Ivans Gamallo and Tommy Yu led Pecandela with 12 and 10 points, respectively, while Ruel Juban paced Paneros with 17 points.

In the 3rd game, Vis dela Cerna scored 20 points in leading the Dissenters past Primos while the Los Demonyos of Bads Del Prado stunned Eagles of Kit Enriquez, 85-82.

Jun Pintor, Art Flores, Edward Bauzon and Ferdie Riveral led Demonyos with 13 points each.
