PDEA nabs 3 drug pushers in buy-bust operation
MANILA, Philippines—Three suspected drug pushers were arrested in a beach resort in Agusan del Norte after a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The suspects were identified as Anna Marie Montilla, 20, alias Bem-bem, Lhord Benedick Inguito, 25, and Jimarc Granada, 21, PDEA Director General Undersecretary Juse Gutierrez Jr, said in a statement released Wednesday.
The suspects were caught in the operation as they handed over a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent in Room 4 of Family Beach Lodge in Tinago, Buenavista at around 6:30 in the evening of August 25.
Also confiscated from the suspects were four aluminum foil strips, one disposable lighter, two Honda motorcycles, a mobile phone, and the 500-peso marked bill used as buy-bust money, it said.
The three suspects are being detained at facilities of PDEA Regional Office 13. They are facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
